Best thing you can hope to do is throw some half ton springs in the back and use airbags to get back the hauling capacity. Because a 3/4 ton in never going to ride smoothly as you are seeming to want it too.
I was not clear: The stretch goal is Denali/Cadillac/Lincoln smoothness. Getting it any smoother than original, stock is in the correct direction. And thanks, everyone, for the good advice.

Surely a set of Firestone bags and compressor setup would be cheaper than the H1 set up?
Maybe, i had a H1 compressor and valve setup in my old blazer for years. Got it at a swap meet for 100 bucks. Used it to air up tires after airing down for sandy terrain.

I THINK there is a 2006 3/4 ton Denali option for 2006. I looked on rockauto and found 3 sets of leaf springs. A 4/1 set and two 5/1 sets. I would venture the 4 and 1 is the softer Denali set as they are listed as 2025lbs. And the two 5/1 sets are 2235 and 2600 respectively. Probably about as soft as you can get and retain your capacity without added help
