How did THEY get the water spots out? Thanks!
Wish I knew the CLR method sooner. Not always free time these days for a deep clean wash at home though. I pointed out the areas to the car wash guys, and they went to town with wax and a buffer machine. I didn’t really get add’l info but they assured me this would take care of it, which it did. One other car wash guy reco’d steel wool “zero”, which he said was soft and would also get it off, but i never tried that. Did try a 50/50 vinegar / water mix which I sprayed on and let sit for a bit, and then wiped it down but that didnt really help much.

Quick follow up since I passed the engine recall test. No issues. 38k on the Yukon Denali, only things coming up (they tell me) are tranny fluid at 45k. I’ll opt for brakes soon also.

Another quick thanks on the suggestion for a “good Will” repair (lumbar module crapped out) - was initially quoted $750 for parts and labor, but since only 2k miles over 36k warranty, ended up costing me $75. Great experience at a local family owned GMC dealership.

Unrelated, but worth sharing - had some hard water spots from my sprinkler system, tried a few home remedies unsuccessfully, but finally bit the bullet and paid for a premium wash & wax at my favorite local spot ~$200. Wow, truck looks phemonal. Brand new-ish shine and completely removed hard water spots that were bugging me.

Quick shout to the veterans . Thank you for your service

Got my PICO test done today and passed. Apparently there was another software update they did as well. I also had issues with my 360 camera system glitching on my screen and there was a radio update they applied as well while they were at it. Lastly I noticed squeaking from my air suspension and the lined up the sway bar for me.

Glad to put that behind me and now going to look at extended warranties as I run up on my 3-yr in February. I’m only sitting at 20K miles as of today.

Steel wool? Yikes. I think a clay bar would do.

Never heard of that. I’m looking at Zurich and National per the advice of my service rep. He has seen the others deny claims for things that are expressly covered.
I have heard that James Black Cadillac will give best price on "GM" extended warranties. I have read this in forums but i have never used them.

Black sells the GM warranty at deeply discounted prices.

I am curious if you notice any difference. My 2022 Denali passed the PICO Test last week. I do notice two things with the 0W-40 oil that seem "better". I know this is very subjective but I can tell you that the engine feels a little smoother to me. Hard to describe but just something I do "feel". On a more objective observation my oil pressure "indicator" (no numbers) does show higher pressure both at idle and during higher rpm use. Again, just what I am seeing for myself. Anybody else notice anything like this on their PICO survivors?

Sometimes I think my engine feels smoother, but other times not necessarily. I don’t think my oil pressure has increased at all (but I’ll take specific note of it on my next drive and update my post).

Anything but 0W20 should have been spec for these engines since day one. All somebody has to do is the torque load calculation and oil film loading and they'll see that 0W20 is really not adequate except under extremely ideal conditions which rarely occurs in the real world.

A quick question.......For 2026 did GM spec the correct heavier oil in the 6.2 trucks / SUVs?

No, I believe they are still using the 0W-20 in the engines that are not officially subject to the recall, including new builds. Which oil is “correct” is a subject of much debate, and I don’t think anyone wants to re-open that debate yet again.
