…do we I/we need this type of sediment in this forum?
I joined this forum for common enjoyment and knowledge… not for this

Just wanted to give an update. Into second week of waiting for a motor. Have the Hummer EV as long as I need it as a loner. The dealership does not seem to get any shipping updates as far as motors go. I got the results from the 0w40 oil analysis I did immediately before the failed test. This oil included some fairly aggressive towing of 7000 lbs for 15 hrs through hilly terrain on my family's summer vacation. Oil analysis came back perfect. Certainly doesn't look like the oil of a truck that was just condemned.
We have had a 6.2 customer pay engine ordered for a month and still have NO idea when we are getting it

Who cares about where all the pages went let's just get back to the regular schedule program.

I'm not trying to thread jack, but if 100 pages are gone, isn't there a good chance that some useful information was also within those 100 pages, which is now gone?

Anyway, I won't bring it up again, I was just sharing information to see if it would help, but I see that it isn't a big deal.

My apologies, back on topic, now.

It was probably mostly speculation about how many engines are really defective and arguments about what oil viscosity is best that's gone

The pages were getting too unwieldy and it almost looks like the work of Thanos, as almost exactly half the pages are gone, lol

Trying really hard not to contribute to the page count thing, which has ALREADY BEEN EXPLAINED! lol

Anyways, for those who are waiting on an engine replacement, what (if any) tentative timelines were you given by your dealer? It would be beneficial if we could compile them and update it as people have service completed to establish a baseline to see how it trends.

I changed oil in my 2017 Yukon yesterday and interesting label information on bottle that says same protection as 5W-20.

Oh and using marks on bottle it took 8 quarts to get to top dot on dip stick not top of hash markings.

Interesting. I'm not sure where almost 100 pages went. Did you see the post about my bookmark showing this thread in the 200+ pages and now we are at 109 pages?

I did and I don't see where any pages or posts were deleted, moved or otherwise lost here.

Wasn't the answer determined to be that we used to have ~200 pages at 10 posts per page, and now we have ~100 pages at 20 posts per page?
If that's all there is to it, great... as I'd hate for info to be missing. Coming back to this thread after a hiatus, apologies for not realizing that.

0w-XX is trash, 5w-30 is the way lol

It looks like the oil wars are still going on, now there is a third weight in the mix ?

0W-water vs 0W-40 vs 5W-30 ?

No worries. I haven’t verified it, but one of the mods said this and it made sense to me. I don’t believe it was a Thanos snap, but I enjoyed that theory!

I was told 2-3 wks. Stopped at dealer yesterday and she said the order she placed for another customer just arrived. She placed it a couple days before mine. She said should be soon. Let you know. In contrast, I spoke to my long term sales person, he said he has heard of some taking longer than a month or more......

If that's the case, then we don't have missing pages and I simply misunderstood. I never noticed the posts going from 10 to 20 pages per post. I thought he said he looked for that feature/option but didn't find it.

I have no problem admitting that I'm wrong and that I misunderstood. Thanks for pointing that out since that seems to be the issue. Good news is that all posts are here, but on less pages (which is probably a good thing).

Glad you posted this, because I’ve been seeing the same thing in the app. I will note though that the recall still appears when I check my vehicle on the GM website. So maybe just some issue currently in the app?
Saw the same thing last weekend…recall had disappeared. But today noticed it’s back, with a revision that I can now schedule service for the recall (finally). So maybe check again.

Just under 36k miles and no engine issues to report. But the brakes are all needing replacement due to rotor issues…surprising given the relatively low mileage.

Thanks. No change for me (recall still gone in the app, but it's there with "remedy not available" on the website). Let us know how your inspection goes once you get it done.

Bummer on your brakes - 36k does seem kind of early for that.
