Brake LED strip

ok i so have been wanting to get a LED strip that goes along the bottom of the tailgate but dont see how it will work since when i put my tailgate down it almost touches my bumper and i am thinking that it will get crushed since i have the tailgate that folds down, not the barn doors. IF someone has accomplished this please let me know and please tell me what the best led bar is

Get one that installs surface mount wise on tail gate.

surfaced mounted on the surface facing rear near the bottom of tailgate. Like where nameplates are attached.

you should have room between the tail gate and bumper . led's stripe lites is like a roll of tape goes anywere ( stylin trucks -fire & ice )

i trimmed the little tab that goes up which made just enough room for me. You might be able to see it in my sig

Ceej, did you have the peice on your bumper that rolls up almsot meeting the tailgate? is that the peice your talking about triming?
