2024 Tahoe High Country with the stock chrome logos and chrome rear trim strip across the tailgate.
I watched a few YouTube videos and went with the fishing line for letter removal and a guu stripper called Max Strip, is similar to goo be gone. It is latex base and doesn’t harm the paint.
It doesn’t do a very good job but eventually the residue comes off.
Plastic thin scraper helps but removing all residue is the tedious part.
Some use an eraser wheel but that is too aggressive for me. I did wax and buff around the logos before removing and used blue painters tape to tape off the area.
The application of new logos is pretty easy with the ones that come in the foam blocks, like the ones I used. I matched the letters then taped it so it folded up. This gave space to remove the existing and I just flipped it down after pulling the tape off.
after cleaning the residue You can just pull the backing tape off and flip down for placement. The foam frame keeps the spacing accurate.
