You dont have take mc out to ‘bench bleed’ youre basically taking two short hoses and fittings from the ports into the reservoir and pumping fluid through ports into the reservoir’s to get the air out. ‘Bench’ is relative here…

Looks like you're heading back to the bench.
That is the one nice thing about the Motive power bleeder.... It prevents letting the brake fluid get too low in the master cylinder.

I have before but i like making the family miserable and tired for 1/2 hr every once and while…. Its fun!

That's all I ever do on all our vehicles,
but I don't allow the MC to run dry.

When I did what you did I was able to have an assistant press the brake pedal while I cracked the brake line fittings at the MC. That worked for me to get the last little bubble out of the MC. Good luck.

Is the MC level when bleeding it?

I am trying to remember. The rear was on jack stands just high enough to get the wheels off. The front tires were probably on the ground. The garage slopes slightly and the front was at the high end.
I inadvertently left a rear brake bleeder cracked open when i ran out to the parts store. When I got back that entire circuit had gravity bleed out into my brake fluid catch can.

One-man jobs are a breeze, and you don't need to fill this with the fluid, just top off the vehicle's reservoir, and add fluid for each caliper. Plus, you can buy adapters for every make/model out there. I pump mine up to 15psi, and crack the bleeder until the fluid runs clear for a little bit. Brake flushes take 10 minutes (after you spend 20 mins jacking up your rig, and taking off all the wheels).

So I bought a master cylinder bleeder kit and bled the MC while it was in the truck. I noticed some bubbles but not a bunch and I thought maybe they where coming from the bleed fittings leaking. Then did a Tech-2 flush. Pedal feels better but not I stiff as I think it should. Truck stops fine..The reason I did all this is because the pedal went soft out of nowhere and I figured it was from old fluid. Now Im wondering if I got a MC issue. I saw a video online that you can plug the ports and if the pedal is still soft then you know it's a MC issue....

Seems like I might have been the victim of a overnight phantom brake bleed. Pedal feels much better this morning then when I was driving it last night. All I did was park it backed into the driveway so the mc was slanted down. Maybe it burped in the middle of the night? Im not complaining...I've seen a few videos describing this phenomenon...

Perhaps... air bubbles like to rise.
