Brake Controller for 2013 LTZ

I need to set up my 2013 LTZ for trailering. I do NOT have the factory brake controller.
Any suggestions on where to mount this, so it doesn't bang my knee ?

and what is the preferred brand these days ?

I have one of these (I think actually the predecessor to the one below but looks exactly the same), 14 years and counting. Great controller. I mounted mine above the parking brake pedal on that lower dash panel.

This is what I just installed in my Yukon... Great piece, only thing you see is the knob.... I didn't want a big chunk sitting under my dash to knock my knees on or look like shit... I'm picky that way though... If that doesn't matter to you then throw a regular one under the dash edge... I would stick with Tekonsha if your putting regular one under the dash.
