I’ve been planning this for quite a while and finally took a couple days off of work to paint my calipers.

I first thought I was going to go red because I thought red calipers are cool and have seen them on different cars and like the look. After looking at so many with red calipers though, thought how chrome, white and black would look good together, so I decided to go black.

This is my first day off, so I get the back wheels off and got to work:


Driver side rear before clean:

I made some more progress.



Sprayed the rear drums:

I used Rustoleum high heat silver paint:

First coat of POR-15 Gloss black.

Will paint another coat of this, then 2 top coats of gloss black; I’ll be up late tonight!!

Glad you went with black and not red. I think red would not have looked good on your white/black rig.

Hold up... You are not painting that inside the garage with your truck right? Or is it not a spray paint?

What brush did you use to paint on the Pors?. I helped my father inlaw do Pors on his 64 impala frame.
