Bondo this?

Some of you, no most of you will hate me for asking this..... Has anyone ever DE-badged then smoothed out this area with fiberglass? Any thoughts of how this would look? Any thoughts or ideas of the complexity of this prospective venture?

As to make it look like one flat panel from top to bottom.
Never seen it before. Don't see a point in it either. I would stick with the debadging it self. The only gain you would see is aesthetic. It would certainly cost you some money tho to shave it up.

BTW I would not use Bosch+ 4 plugs in your vehicle at all. Plain Autolite copper cores are ideal with the MSD box. And the tb spacer was a waist of money.

I've seen it done and it does look good but I'd say it'd have a tendency to crack over time and start looking pretty bad after a while. I say leave it alone unless you know how to do metal work and weld in a piece of metal in that spot and do body work over that. THEN you're talking

I may roll with the metal & body work idea after a couple of other mods.

We are apart and have been since I have been stationed in Germany. That is why I have not taken the TB spacer off yet. As far as the plugs go I will change them later on, I am getting good results out of them now. Thanks for the tips.

seen it done as well. requires a lot of work but looks pretty good when done right. have to be one hell of a metal fabricator and one hell of a body man to get it straight. everything will have to remain on the vehicle to do it right, getting the gaps evenly between the fenders to the doors and etc etc

bondo is crack on anything over 1/4" sometimes less then that. , you could fiberglass as well if metal wasnt your thing

weld in filler strips and then finish it with a body filler. DON'T try to bondo that whole thing in... haha

Only way to do it, if you want it done right. It really isn't that much work, just a pain to stitch weld the panels in.

I like the idea. It's one of those subtle hot rod ideas that get people scratching their heads. I like the idea enough, I might do that to mine. Good luck.

He hit this right on the head. I used to d body work in a past life. Technically, you can bondo this area, but it will not hold up. If anything, I would weld a plate to cover it and bondo over the plate.

It's more work, but it will be worth it in the long run.

What are you talking about de-badging? What year model? Most have no holes to fill or anything all emblems are 2-sided taped other than grille, & some rear hatches. Just my 2-cents worth.

Exectly. Strip the stuff held on by two sided tape. He was talking about filling the indent above the rubber trim.
