I've been trying to figure out what is wrong with my stereo. It frequently does not turn on when I start the truck.

Just got this email back from Coastal Electronics:
"The Scoshe BlueFusion is not compatible with the GMX550. We recommend Parrot universal handsfree bluetooth device. Thanks and have a nice day!"

UPDATE 7/15/11:
With the GMX550 and BlueFusion back in, the radio again wouldn't turn on this morning. Hitting the Disc Eject button turned the radio on. So if others come across this glitch, try that button. This has now worked twice for me. I'll continue to test this out. I'll keep the BF unit if this turns out to be the solution.

UPDATE 7/16/11:
Disc Eject button worked a third time.

Interesting. I'm not sure if my stereo issues are due to BlueFusion but I thought I'd just share the response from Coastal Electronics, FWIW.

I was almost certain my problem was due to the 6.0c NAV disc. I had gone 3 days without a problem after removing it, but today the stereo wouldn't turn on again and the NAV disc was not in the unit.

I have the 6.0c as well, but mine is very unpredictable. Could be twice in 1 weekend, then it won't happen for a month.

It seems to happen 1 in 4 times now. Getting very annoying. If it were less frequent, I might be able to live with it.

BTW, I disconnected BlueFusion last night. So far there have been no radio issues on at least 5 different short trips in the Tahoe. Doesn't mean much but I'm hoping for the better.

I just called Scosche's tech support line. The rep stated that BlueFusion is not compatible with the lockpick. Time to put the BlueFusion up for sale on Ebay. :(
