I got my 24" wheels finished and mounted yesterday along with the tails and brake light but it just looks completely out of place with the chrome roof racks, chrome door handles, and chrome trim on the side steps...

For the roof racks, the end caps come off to remove the whole rack right? Do those end caps just pop off? I pulled on them a little yesterday but was afraid to pull to hard...

And what the about the door handles....i see how to get the front off by popping the rubber cover off on the inside of the front door but what about the back door handles...also will I be able to just remove the chrome handle part? of does the handle along with all the housing come off together?

Yes, the endcaps of the roof racks pop off. give steady force and pull. Once off, it will expose the screws and allow you to take off the racks that run across the roof.

Ive been thinking about blacking out my escalade as well. post pics when your done.

not sure about the headlights yet. So I've been told I cant use the spray tint like I did on my tail lights because it has a red tint in it to help the brake lights shine through better. I'm going to keep the front and rear wreaths chrome though

Check out my album or other threads to see my black housing projectors and my old factory lights with clear corners. Also look at sam hamm's ext. He has black housing projectors. Also, Ebay sells vynil for heads and fogs for cheap.

Figured I would post the pics and will post more when finished. HOPEFULLY I'll get it done this weekend assuming weather doesn't mess it up.

Here's what is done last weekend. Tail lights blacked out and second one is the newly painted wheels

Wheels and lights look good.

The angle from the second pic makes it look like above the pin strip is painted a real dark gun metal. That shit would look tight.

It’s really hard to tell in those pics but that pin stripe isn’t anywhere near as big as the reflection in the sun makes it look.* It’s actually only about 1/8 inch wide pin stripe.** I won’t be able to do anything with it, but it’s not that noticeable anyway.** I would remove it, but about a year ago a entire tree fell on me during a bad storm right as I drove by it (talk about bad timing) which scratched the top, the front and driver side of the truck.**
*
Being that the original pin stripe was a very very dull yellow, the body shop decide to hand paint the driver side pin stripe so it would match passenger side with the same dull yellow and then cleared over it…so it’s impossible for me to remove the driver side stripe.*

Tide looks good bro. I used that headlight vynil tint they sell off Ebay, and looks awesome, but really dulls down your headlights. It's hard for me to suggest using it, even tho I really like the way it looks, and you can easily remove it. But it does do the job, and I got the "darker" tint and think it doesn't allow as much light to pass thru as they claim. But was worth the $10 I spent to see. I still have it on cause I haven't been driving much at night, so don't notice.

I got the ebay headlight tint as well, at least for the Esky the headlight is pretty flat, mines was a PIA to put on and it came out kinda funky, but it only looks messed up when you walk up close. lol I went the the light smoke kit. ( it was not installed yet on my hoe in the pics below )
