I'm trying to find aftermarket or painted black headlights for my 2008 Yukon. I wanna keep the stock look and just want to do HID's. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

There are some aftermarket projectors in black but are crap when it comes to light output. Best bet is to buy some OE and take them apart and paint then reseal. Might want to do a retrofit while your at it. ;)

^ this ... more specifically: http://blackflamecustoms.com/produc...on-denali-projector-retrofit-headlights-p-100

Every NNBS aftermarket headlight assy has terrible halogen projectors which become catastrophic with hids. 99% of them will result in this:

Hi Guys, have not posted much but have been around for a while. Have checked out most (if not all) of the posts for black headlights on an 08 Yukon and now am a little confused. Many people (especially Soulsea) are suggesting staying away from the cheap ebay housings. That I can appreciate. HID Guy seems to be a preferred vendor and has housings available on their site that look exactly like the ebay ones. They are offering them in conjunction with a HID kit. I really like the look of these and would like some opinions. I think these housings are the closest to the Escalade ones. Here is the link to the HID Guy housings.

Before anyone suggests, I am not willing to spend 1K at BlackFlame.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I had Blackflamecustoms do my HID work. I purchased the HID kit from theretrofitsource. Cost was right around $1,000. I highly recommend finding OEM headlights and not using replica housings as the quality are crap compared to OEM.

Looks sick man. So you are using the factory headlights not replicas? Was that included in the $1k cost? Blackflamecustoms supplies everything for that price except the hid kit?

I am not using the factory headlights. I kept those "as is" in case I sell the car in the future. However I do recommend purchasing OEM headlights and not using replica's. In my opinion the replica headlights are a lot cheaper quality than OEM.

The $1k did not include the HID kit. The HID kit I purchased (Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit) was about $335 from TRS.
