best way to remove VHT

i remember seeing a thread about this but i cant seem to find it. i used Goof off before but it was a ***** to take the shades out. i got two citations for my tinted tail lights. ( they are way too dark) so i'm planning on cleaning them then doing a shade or two only of VHT. what do you guys suggest i use besides "goof off"

how did goof off not work?? Thats what we used on my wifes car, smelled like gas but it did the trick quick. All we used was a towel and the goof off

goof off does work. but just doesnt take them completely off. i'll give it a shot tomorrow and see if i can remove VHT completely.

acetone aka nail polish remover --- if they have not been cleared over.
