Best rear springs for 4-5" drop carrying huge stereo

I have the 3/4 ton purple keys an I got them for like 40 bucks. your gonna pay 100 for belltech. I had some lowering keys and these 3/4 ton keys are better. I got them off Ebay cheap

I've never had belltech key . When ppl say purple keys they are talking bout the stock keys that come off the 2500 trucks. They are indexed differently and they work to lower

I'M trying to figure out how you came up with 1200 lbs, 2 18"s are probably 100lbs each, 6 battery's are probably 50lbs each, some wire? not that much, amps maybe 20-30lbs each, is the bulk of your weight the sub enclosure?

Gotcha!! Thanks for the info...I'll make sure to hunt down the HD keys. Does it need to be from the 07-up 2500 or will the 00-06 2500 keys work also?

I got 09 keys. An I have a 04. I believe jts 00 to 10 or so that will work. or even newer than 10

The enclosure itself is around 500lbs, amplifier rack, battery rack, false floor, cooling fans total an additional 150lbs, the enclosure is all mdf, has 4 gallons of fiberglass resin inside strengthening the kerf. Keep in mind this thing is 15.0cuft before displacement, double walled 1.5" thick. Subwoofers are 120lbs each, Bass amp is around 80lbs, batteries are 50lbs each (6), battery bussbars 25lbs, around 50ft of 4/0 welding cable, 50ft of 1/0 welding cable, midrange amplifiers and misc wiring, misc additional weight from midrange speakers, id guess 350-400sq ft of sound dampening material. VERY EASILY 1200+ lbs of additional weight.

Ive never had the truck on a scale before and after, but I can tell you, even with 14" big brakes its still a job to stop this truck. No power, driving through mountains etc is a rough day. reminds me of my 4 cylinder gmc sonoma.

Question about your bags...do you leave them inflated all the time? Do you have a compressor on them of just an air line you air up when you need to?
Sorry if you already said it...just considering adding helper bags on mine.

I leave mine deflated. It helps from bottoming still. Only would add air if I was gonna tow

Oh OK...I didn't realize they would still dampen things when deflated.

Quick question....do you have like an air connection in/under the bumper somewhere or did you install a compressor to air it up whenever you want if needed?

I drilled a hole by my plug in for trailer lights. Mounted the air nipple there an just air it up manually. I may end up mounting a small compressor to it just haven’t got around to it. I’ll take a pic an show u where I put mine
