All stock (AFM on + <20" wheels), I would guess 14mpg.

Before getting a BB tune the 5.3 was getting 12.8 mpg after the tune it got 15.6 . I took out the 5.3 and installed a 6.2 L9H and now gets 19.4 , now I didn't install the 6.2 for fuel economy but it's an added perk. The MPG's are calculated also.

Correction.................. MPG on the last 2 tanks were watched closely and calculated out to 14.4-5 MPG

I must stop drinking.

My 5.3 with DOD got about 14. Dod delete with cam/headers was about 13. This is a mix of 40 mph roads and stoplights.

If my 6.2 can just equal my dod-less 5.3, I'd be ecstatic. How does the 6.2 get 19.4?????

Ok, I have been averaging around 13-13.5 so I'm not far off from everyone else. Thank you for all the input!

I have an 07 LM7 4x4 4speed with 373 gears. I get anywhere from 12-16 pending my driving circumstances.

I have no idea how the L9H get's 19.4 mpg its a bit hard for me to understand that also. But the DIC and calculations verify it. The tune is still BB's for the 5.3 and it can't be far off if anything.Still has the 5.3 exhaust.

I don’t see how that’s possible. I’ve never seen more than 16mpg from my 6.2L even on the highway. I usually averaged 14mpg stock. I get like 12mpg now with the cam but I have been getting on it a lot more.

When I was driving my XL with all-terrain tires for Uber, it would average 15 to 16 mpg. About 2 years ago I took the average of all the GMT900 wagons with the 5.3 on Fuelly and learned that they ALL average 14.3 MPG.

Here's my truck's chart over the last three years on all types and brands of fuel:

If you burning 87, you're going to get crummy gas mileage.

I baby it and get 13 for my daily driving. I probably exceed 35 mph for only 10 miles per 100 miles. On a trip over the mountains, I've never gotten better than 18.

Lol the MPG in my 6.2 is abysmal, but it does have a cam. I lost at least 2 mpg from the 5.3, maybe even worse. I also did ZL1 torque converter, that probably made it worse too.

my 2019 Suburban Premier Plus (6.2l) has achieved 23mpg on freeway trips and avgs 18.6 mpg, if its all in town driving. Snow tires reduce hi way mpg to a max of 20.

07 Yukon XL Denali with the 6.2 and a Black Bear Performance 93 octane performance tune. 10-12 in the city; 13-15 on the highway; 16-18 on the highway with the wife in the truck with me.
