2005 XL. Seems to come on every time I start the vehicle. Sometimes kicks in when standing at a long light.
How much on & off is normal?
Does standing on an incline vs standing level make a difference?
Measured a 1" drop after sitting overnight. How much drop is normal after parked for...an hour...a day...a week...

You should experience little or no compressor running or ride height drop...unless you have a leak.

My 2005 Escalade original compressor started running each time I started from parking overnight. Within a year i noticed it running each and EVERY TIME I started it. It wasn't long afterwards that the compressor was burned out from running too often.

My advice is to find the leak and repair it or do nothing and replace the compressor and rear shocks when the system fails. Arnott Industries sells the replacement compressor, dryer, and both rear shocks for about $600 FOB your door step. I ran my Arnott set up for almost 3 years before I sold my Escalade with no issues.
