Auto 4wd and larger tires

So on another site someone commented that you shouldn't use Auto 4wd with larger than stock tires, their reasoning was that it's constantly enabling / disabling when it's not needed. Is there any truth behind that? I typically run Auto 4wd in snow when Lo / High isn't quite needed.

Using my auto 4WD without any issues this winter, I have 33" tires. I don't see any reason why it would be enabled any more or less.

I'm running 35's and a six inch lift on mine. I use auto 95% of the time. Never been a issue. The 4x4 seems to act up if I use hi/low and it's only snow or ice. Off road the all settings work fine.

95% of the time in adverse weather conditions. Not always of course.
