rear view-
where is the brake light wire under the dash?

headrest monitor-
any advice on installing these? tips on running the wires through the seat? how do i take of the stock headrest.

thanks in advance

Why would you want the brake light wire, wouldn't you want the reverse light wire?

Did you even search the forums before tossing these questions up and getting your panties in a bunch when noone answered any of your questions within 14 hours of you asking the question?

for your reverse light tap into it at the rear of the vehicle

Your speedometer sensor wire? I think the sensor is on the transmission, but where it goes from there I honestly have no idea......

because GPS is inaccurate, and drops out. the speed sense wire keeps the nav system chugging along, and gets you those last 10-20 feet of accuracy. it also makes all the funky guage features work.

When I did my headrests I ran the wires under the seat frames where the recess is right about where the ear shaped bracket comes off toward the console.
That let me leave enough slack to avoid pinching them at full front or full rear or with the head rest up (yes you need slack for that)... you better get someone to move the seat while you watch the cables the first time you put them in... \\
and No, I don't want to talk about it. ;)

i can tell you one place you can find it...
the cluster has to have a speedo wire :)

That would also be known as the VSS wire, and I be the instructions on installing a factory nav (avalanche forums) would include it, might even have a picture

Also the avic forums had it listed as a4 behind the cluster, according to 12volt.com it is correct.

http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=13026&start=0

also on avic and 12volt I learned that the back up wire is lite green at the BCM... just have to find out where hte body control module is, and look for the lt green wire.
