Anyone have leaky door handles?

Replaced the door handles on my 08 Yukon Denali XL and noticed the replacements don’t seat well against the door even with the gasket. Got these from 1a auto. Poured some water over the handle and could see water running down the inside of the door. I then tried it with one of my handles that hadn’t been replaced; my oe handle. Noticed the same thing. Is this a common thing with these trucks?

Many don’t realize doors are not water sealed on the outside. Water runs in from the window too, and it all drains out the bottom of the door. The seal, inasmuch as there is one, is the plastic weather shield between the door metal and the interior plastic cover. All brands are similar as far as I know.
