Hey Guys, I have a 2004 Tahoe LT and have AWD
I know most everyone else on here has 2WD and option for 4WD High and Low
I am just taking a poll to see how many people have AWD (I am including Denalis, even tho I think they are all AWD)

Also, I don't think I ever seen another Tahoe with a 5.3 and AWD in person, does that make my Tahoe worth more money?

5.3 lol.

its just one of those rare options GM had for a while and got rid of. Like quadrasteer. I would personally rather have true 4x4.

also the AWD in a tahoe is different from the AWD in a yukon denali or escalade. In the tahoe you still have the 4 lo option. But not on a yukon denali or suburban.

So whats the advantage of having AWD? Is it actually worse then 4WD?

So, the AWD will treat me good in the New England Snow :)

Yup, you can ask Max about his...

Just don't go thinking you can go offroading with jeeps and play like they do... :)

Although I did take the Escalade out mudding when I first got it to test the AWD and it was funny to see the look on the other peoples face

2004 AWD, I've had it since Jan 3rd the stabilitrac seems to work nice, but you can't play in the snow like you can with 4wd and a locker. The only drawback I've found is it seems to have a bit more drivetrain noise than a 4x4 in 2wd.
