Does anyone here have a high mileage Denali 2019+? If so, what if any major repairs have you made? I want bother solid rig that will last more than 200,000 miles. Coming from an 08 Denali XL that bit the dust at 220,000. Also, I’m looking at 2020 Denali XLs.

2020 Suburban RST with 249k here. So far had to replace rear shocks because air bags were leaking. All fluids in all drivetrain components. Rear tail gate struts are out and need to be replaced.
Had Cat inefficiency codes but those cleared out with some PEA type injector fuel system cleaner and some hard driving.
Truck has had all major maintenance items completed at the dealer and besides that it drives as if it has 200k less miles on it.

i think i'm around 167k miles, simualr story, rear hatch struts, new suspension, found some interesting stuff inside the engine that surprised us, and basically just needed caught up on maintenance and it's been solid for the last year. I plan on holding onto it for several more years, being that it's our weekend driver, she doesn't see to many miles.

You can read through my thread to see what i found on mine. had an extensive service history at dealers so assumed well cared for, was mostly local it's whole life, but bought cheap knowing i needed to fix things. found more things then i expected. still very happy with it though

The only reoccurring thing has been the grill shudders, I've already changed them once, just started throwing a code for the second time in the 3 years I've had it. Everything else has been just typical wear and tear items. Tire pressure sensors, etc

Hahahaha. Any issues so far?

2004 Yuk SLT. Scratch'n 300K! Only minor repairs & routine maintenance. Drive it everyday still looks respectable.

My 2016 Tahoe LT just turned 206K miles today. 100% stock. Bought it brand new.

Besides regular maintenance did

Transmission at 125K miles
A/C Condenser at 80K miles
Thermostat at 150K miles
Oil Cooler Lines at 190K miles
2 Brake Boosters 1 at 65K miles then again at 70K miles.
Front struts at 200K miles

I still continue to take long trips with it. No plans to sell even though i have several people begging me to sell to them in Miami and NYC!

Tahoe gets serviced every 5K miles. Still using OW20 Mobil 1 and sometimes AC Delco.

Hi Guys, Just my 2 cents here: Mine is a 2015 Denali, and I just past 450K miles. Its my daily driver. I do all of my own work, so that really helps. Thanks,

@tuffguy23 Thats impressive.

Give us some more details:

Original engine and transmission?
Do you have the 6 speed or the 8 speed transmission?
How often are you changing your transmission fluid & filter?
Engine oil change intervals?
Have you had to replace any major drivetrain parts? Differentials, transfer case, etc?
Steering gear assembly?
How is the interior and electronic features holding up?
Buttons, switches, door handles?
Power window motors/regulators?
Driver assist alert sensors (audio & vibration) in drivers seat and otherwise?
HUD still work?
Have you had to replace any HVAC actuators or blend doors?
Is there anything that doesn’t work anymore and parts are discontinued?
Have you been replacing parts with mostly OEM or aftermarket?
Anything else major or annoying repair that you thought would be simple that turned into more than it should have worth sharing?

Sorry for all the questions, but your mileage is impressive and many owners/members could benefit from knowing more details about your experience and best practices on how you got there and are still going!

Cheers

Hi again: Well yes, original engine and 8L90 trans. I've done lots of maintenance and work on it. I have replaced the cam and lifters twice: at 206K and at 440K miles. The transmission gets new filter and fluid every 12 months. The thermostat bypass keeps the ATF cool, under 150F. lots of smaller repairs but the axles, diffs, and transfer case are good. Everything works. I just added a catch can. Very surprised at the amount of oil it catches: about an ounce or so every 1K miles. just gotta keep on top of things and fix them as needed. Oil changes were every 5K with 0W-20. But i realize it needs thicker viscosity to protect the cam. just my opinion. now using 0W-40 every 4K miles.
