Seeing How well the other thread has done with what you added onto your Yukon or Tahoe this is a chance to talk about your other ride and what you have done with it. Well Ill Start, I have a 2005 Pontiac Bonneville GXP the last year they made a Bonneville, it has the Cadillac Northstar V8 engine in it. Most of my upgrades and interior and under the hood. I installed an Alpine 505W DvD player with the P1 Navigation added on. I have to worn you with the Alpine Navigation units you need to upgrade them yearly with new maps and software and it cost $100. I have one in my Denali and my Bonny so that sucks, it should be free updates with the purchase of their unit? My honest opinion. Along with that I installed to 9.5" head rest Alpine touch screen monitors and for you who are worried or don't think they can install a monitor in a head rest it actually not to hard. I was scare $hitless cutting into my leather seats but they come with layouts that you put on your head rest and tell you exactly where to cut and mark the razor blade for how deep. Then its all read and install. Came out looking professional and it was my first time. I tinted the windows all the way around, put in an Astrostart RSS-5224 and installed an Ipod adapter for the Alpine to run it off the screen. In the engine I put a K&N Cold air intake, installed pulse plugs with capacitors in it. I adjusted the fuel to air ratio and installed a new full magna flow headers and exhaust. Before the mods I got 30 MPG driving sensible on the HI way and now I get 35 mpg driving the same but get 30 putting it up around that 85 mph mark. I want to get rims for it even though it has stock 18"rims on it with Kuhmo Tires on it. Im looking into a supercharger a friend has for sale from his crashed 2004 Cadillac STS that would match up with my engine. New they are $3500 but he is asking 2K but After getting a slam and jar from a crash that can easily pit bearings, misalign the lobes and takes years off its life so I wont pay no more than $1000. A Simple thread so if you have two Hoe's or Yukon's talk about your second one, or talk about the wife's car. This gives you free reign to bit%ch about how they don't take care of there car. My wife drives the GXP and I was cleaning out yesterday and under the seat was a melted snicker bar and something green In it and it looked like throw up it took me an hour to make it completely go away, I was pi$$ed and have they ever heard of a garbage, my wife thinks the car is a garbage. She leaves half full pop cans in the door and leaves them there for days and opening and closing the door makes it splash up on the door panel and sometimes it makes it all the way to the window?? I just don't Understand?? She told me the low oil level indicator came on 3 weeks ago and when I checked it wasn't even on the dipstick, the best one was I told her to check the oil every couple days and she did for the first time and latch the hood. The safety latch failed while she was driving and flew up and slammed against the windshield smashing that and bending the hood which is a nice $500 deductible to pay. C'mon ladies please, it takes you an hour to get ready in the morning and it takes 15 minutes to clean out your car. The car will tell you when the oil is low and it takes 2 seconds to let me know its saying its low, or the tires low. Respect your vehicle and it will respect you back. I really wish I knew who wired women's brains because it couldn't have been Jesus because he is a dude and he understands nice vehicles. Whoever did it needs a talcum powder pimp slap. If this thread is lame you can kill it but I just wanted to tell about my other ride and how my wife will take it to an early grave scrap metal yard. I use Mobil 1 in all my vehicles and I told her when it says time to change Oil reset it twice before I change it because you can get 15,000 miles on a extended K&N oil filter and Mobil 1. So I asked he how many times she hit reset and she says whenever it gets to 50% she clears it and I asked how many times did you do that and all I got was a shoulder shrug. And we wonder why women live longer than men because they don't care about anything vehicle wise and when a vehicle acts up we are the ones who need to get it running while she drives around your Nice Yukon XL Denali with 23" wheels on it. Right after I polished it and mothered the rims. I don't like her driving my vehicle because after a day there is $hit on the floor and 3/4 pop cans still in the cup holders. Sorry ladies we love you but please take care of your car's if you find a girl who knows how to wash and wax, clean the inside out McGuire's your dash board and clean the leather hold onto her because lord knows I didn't.
