I have had this GD noise for nearly a year. When i took my truck into the shop they found nothing. I just pulled the wheel off myself this morning to try and locate ANYTHING that might be wrong in there. I found nothing.

I will say that i dont really know shit about what i am looking at but i wasnt able to spot anything glaringly obvious.

let me try to explain the noise.

It can be heard from the outside of the truck only. It is a steady clicking or tapping noise that speeds up when the truck speeds up. its like something that is making a single noise once for every revolution.

what the hell is wrong and what can i do about it?!?!?!?

Nail in your tire?

Had that happen with my last car. It drove me crazy forever until I found the nail one day and plugged it, then the noise was no more.

I thought mine was coming from the rotors and had the tires off and spun everything and couldn't find it. It wasn't until I rotated the tires that the noise went away and then I found the nail.

I've also had a loose wheel weight cause a clicking sound as well.
