Why is the back of my truck always dusty when the rest of the truck is fine? Is this something to do with the shape of an SUV (this is my 1st). I would think if the back is dusty so should the Hood and the top but that's not the case, it's always the rear hatch and glass

I hate this so much too, its so annoying (esp. on a black car) and I don't get why it does that too on my 07.
Someone recommended a MicroFiber duster that could get that crap off w/o harming the paint?

turbulence behind the truck....get a dust off mop, easy to hit the whole truck as long as it's not real mud, etc.

Ok i'm going with ur answer for now since I don't have one of my own, so what's different with cars? They don't have that problem. I'm not trying to start an arguement itz just the strangest sheit about this trk, and keeping my rides clean is a pep peeve of mine so I'm really going nutz here.

The large frontal area combined with no taper to the aft of the vehicle creates a vacuum behind our vehicles. The aerodynamics of the common SUV literally sucks dust and dirt up behind it.

Suburbans and YXLs dont have nearly as big of a problem with this as the tahoes and Yukons do. Im not sure if its cause the rear wheels are farther from the rear or what.

I have a California Duster that I bought new in 1997 that I still use to this day. It works great on the Tahoe as long as it is just dust on the paint. My 07 is for sure the worst as far as dirt collecting on the tailgate bumper area.
