I just purchased a set of 26 inch rims and 305/30/26 tires a few days ago. I was trying to figure out what I needed to do to ELIMINATE or GREATLY reduce rubbing in the front fender liners. I have read about cutting and heating the liners to reduce rubbing, how much does this reduce rubbing. Also what about a 1 inch front lift kit:

I'm just trying to get my Hoe right, thanks for any assiastance anyone can provide. I'm suppose to get the liners cut/shaped today after work. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FEEDBACK YOU CAN ASAP. THANKS.

How bad is the rubbing? I used to run a 315/35 R24 on my old Escalade and it rubbed a lot until I trimmed some stuff in the fender well. They looked tight though.lol

It's rubbing pretty bad, when making left turns it sounds like someone has gotten caught in the wheelwell. They look sick, I'm just trying to cut down on the rubbing, I heard there is gonna be some slight rubbing regardless unless you get to cutting more than the fender liners, which is not an option for me.

the rubbing is beign done by the l;ower part of the firewall. there is a vertical pieace welded two parts. you might need to grinfd it down. but some will go away after a few days.

Thanks 2 Tone-Tony (that paint is live), I went to Harbor Freight and purchased a heat gun for $9.99, 2 out door lamps 2x $9.99 (it was afterwork), and Rubber mallet $5.99 - 15% discount = $33.08 after taxes. A friend of mine just got 26's for his Avalanche so we had similiar rub issues except he had more in the rear. We heated the liners and shaped them with the mallet. I have VERY LITTLE RUBBING on hard U-turns but that's it !!!Thanks to everyone who responded quickly, I was at work and this was all I did today was research this issue. I want to give a special thanks to all of the Texas taxpayers for my job.

Glad my hard work helped pay for the research on your 26" rubbing issue. I hope you hit one of our Texas sized potholes....

More pathetic is that your quote induced my first post.

It just rubs me the wrong way (pun intended) when a state employee admits to not doing their job all day long and throws it in the face of those that are working hard and paying taxes that pays his salary.

Would you not be a bit annoyed if I was your employee and you paid me my salary and all I did was search the web all day, having nothing to do with my job, and then threw it in your face?

I just had a hard day at work and a post like that gets under my skin....

Not Mad At All, I work for the STATE OF TEXAS, I was just appreciative of my position

Dude whats are you mad over?

Not mad at all, I AM A TEXAS TAX PAYER AS WELL, I work for the F-ckin STATE of TEXAS that was all I was saying. I have a job where I can sit all day and Jack around on the internet. Not mad about anything actually kinda excited I didn't have to pull the rims off because that was the next option. Maybe I worded it wrong or you took it wrong either way, it really doesn't matter to me.

I just had a DAYS WORK but it wasn't hard. I can't apoligize for the fact that I am a college graduate and I counsel all day. Hell, I talk to people for free so why not get paid for it. Thanks, for your opinion but personally I could give TWO FCKS what my employer thinks of me as long as my check is deposited in my account on the 1st of every month. Some of us work hard and others hardly work, it's kinda up to you. What's up with the Gay Icons? And as far as getting under your skin.....quit being sensitive like the icons you left in your reply
