Aftermarket large gas gauge?

I am frustrated with the dollar coin sized gas gauge, too small and lacking granularity.

Is there an aftermarket fuel level gauge I can mount somewhere on the dash which will be larger, easier to read and more granular?

That plus the stupid gas tank design which reads empty + light comes on when I still got about 5 gallons in it, but I look at it like a generous reserve.

Can't you just superglue or epoxy a round magnifying glass over the guage?

I'm thinking something along the lines of those watches that have magnifier over the day/date. Simple and effective.

You could run a OBD dongle with something like Torque Pro and configure your PID display with one of many different formats to display on your phone. Also some aftermarket radios with displays can show PIDs like that on the screen, with the right radio adapter.
