Added a LTZ Suburban to the fleet

I had the same color third brake light, appliqués and tails about two years ago off a Platinum a guy was parting out locally. I bought all that for $150 and sold it on eBay along with the head lights for over 1k. The headlights alone brought $800.

I paid $216 on eBay for mine. Even if you don't do the full LED mod, you already know that it looks awesome. I had it in my head that if I was buying the Esky 3rd, then I was getting the full LED mod and G4 LED tails as well.

I did not go the G5 route, even though kwOH tried to send me that direction. I am happy with the G4s and the money saved on not going with the Esky appliqués paid for the full LED mod.

Win/Win in my book.

I agree! If I don't get these OE tails I'll buy the G4. Like you said.... I don't have to buy the appliqués even though I really like the look!

Yep. Have to do one or the other due to the Esky crease on the appliqué and G5s. Either way it will look good.

I guess it depends on what you like better, for me it came down to i really liked the g5s and so i did what it took to get them.

I picked up the roof rack today! Also I screwed up and didn't notice one of the Escalade wheels had been repaired and welded. So a guy had one for sale locally for $100 and I picked it up. I ordered new tires last night. I will keep the Bridgestone that are on the Escalade wheels and put them on the U255s if I ever get them to powder.

I ordered vinyl for the emblems and I think I have enough to do the end caps on the rack!

In theory I will have the driver side molding finished, roof rack installed, wheels and tires mounted and emblems color matched by the end of this weekend! Wishful thinking... we will see!

Being a truck/SUV state parts for our vehicles are pretty plentiful. We do have plenty of junk yards to go through. I think we have 2 maybe 3 GM junk yards.

Good info on the Esky 3rd. Didn't realize that there was an aftermarket one out there like this. Pretty cool.

That's a good price for the WDT unit.

They just came out with the full led one recently, i bought the same brand but the standard one to swap my modded OEM light into. Id probably go with the aftermarket one if I had it to do over again.

Got the wheels and tires mounted. Ended up with 305/45/22 tires. I put 1/4" spacers on the rear. Waiting on the front leveling kit, third brake light and tails. Also cleaned up the black one yesterday. When we got the Suburban we put it in the garage filthy.

Still need to get the windows tinted and get rid of the resonator/tail pipe.

So the brake light is suppose to be here Thursday. The tails have been marked shipped but no tracking number yet(same with leveling kit). I just picked up a set of appliqués for $50 and they are the correct color!!!! Hopefully this weekend will be another round of modifications. Also I take it to get the windows tinted Saturday. I'm stoked to see what it all looks like installed. Still on the hunt for a front bumper.....

15% on the front
2.5 on the rear
5% on the back glass. My wife doesn't like the 5% on the front of my truck.

I'm not a huge fan of the wheels. They will work for the time being. At least until the kids get a little older and can climb in on their own. I will lift it more and try for some chrome 20x12s or 22x12s.

Thank you! Next will be some interior mods. I'm not sure what route I want to go with the navigation and back up cam. I have a 3.5 LCD mirror from my 2011 and would like to use that since it's just sitting on a shelf.

I haven’t posted much due to moving. I had a dumb ass moment and backed into the garage with the hatch up. I’m lucky all that was damaged was the appliqué. I had one from a yukon on my eBay watch list. Installed the back up cam while I had it apart.
