We like them because you can leave your windows open an inch or two without worrying about rain. Great in the summer to relieve heat when parked in the sun.

Yup.. Had them on my '07 Tahoe and loved them for this reason. Will be ordering some soon unless they show up in my neighborhood Advanced Auto before

Thankfully you got to keep your old plates. Not those new nasty yellow gold / blue played. They kill every vehicle up there.

You got THAT right.
I always buy new plates for a new vehicle, until NY came out with those barf orange/yellow and blue plates.
I spent about 15 minutes scrubbing on them before we traded in old Tahoe to make sure they would clean up like new. They did.
No way I would mount those ugly new plates on this truck.
