The hidden box is prob the best fitting that i have seen. Take the old bose (if equipped) subwoofer out, sit this is and reinstall the console. No need to bolt it down, bc it fits snug. Surprisingly, it does not rattle, and I just knew that was going to be an issue. Overall, I am impressed with it!

Added 5 1/4 drop hitch, a step and fixed the backup camera. Found out I have a Volant CAI and the filter is nasty. I think it has a cleanable filter so I am going to pickup a K&N Recharge Kit from AZ.

The plan for the next hour:

- Pioneer AVIC-U260 nav add on
- iSimple Media Link
- 4ft hdmi cable
- Samsung MHL adapter ( apple hdmi adapter in the mail)
- Headphone aux cable

Should be a one run and done deal then I have all inputs covered for whatever I may encounter while in this thing for entertainment purposes.

Few quick pics. It took about 1.5 hours. I had to rerun the gps antenna to the outside of the truck. It would not pickup behind the radio.

Its nice that I can screen mirror my phone. That will actually come in handy saturday as the UNC game is on at 6 and I will not be home.

Let the games begin!

This shouldnt be too bad, especially not compared to my 93 Protege retrofit (Google: Eye Can Sea Hidplanet). I just have to find the time to sit down and do it.

I bought a dremel micro do to the job. Imma hive the wireless 8v dremel a try. It should do the job just fine

New filter arrived today. The Volant replacement was only a few $ cheaper, so I went K&N.

Thats a 6" inlet. Of course noone locally carried it.

New mirrors arrived as well. The ps mirror will not adjust up and down. So new mirrors it is. Waiting on the chrome caps. Hopefully the puddles lights work off gate. The turn signals shouldn't be any issue. I don't really care about the heated function working.

Added mirrors with turn signals, flood lights and power fold and a used DS switch from a 07 Silverado.

The DS folds, but not the PS. The flood light on the PS also does not work. IDK if the switch needs to be reprogramed or not.

I may just steal my future brother-in-law switches from his truck. He does not have flood lights though.

The back 3rd is finished. I need to tint the rear doors and possiby lighten the front doors to something legal. This is 5% over factory. Front will probably be 40% so law enforcement won't bother me too bad.

5% over factory. 20% on the front door. I may step the front doors down to 40% for law enforcement reasons and do 50% on the windshield to offset the difference.

Looked at my retrofit and thought I was going to do some work, but my 9 month old boy said otherwise.

I have a way of mouting the fx-r, but I dont know if it will sit back far enough until I get the lens off. If I can do it my way, it will be a piece of cake!

Installed my Bully Dog GT Platinum Gas tonight. From my readings, folks get better gas milage running premium with a towing tune, which comes out to costing less per mile than doing a economy tune running 87, so I will try it and see.

Right now, I am averaging about 15.5 and my goal is 18, so lets see.

Pics of install below. I tapped into the amp remote wire for the unit. I googled the RAP slot, but to no avail after 2 mins of looking, so I gave up.

Laziness.

Woke up this morning at my grandparents house looking directly at this CaliLean. I thought about lowering the rear, but i think that I will just raise the front. Maybe the rub at full lock will go away.

Averaged 17.5 mpg on the ride home. Thats from 15.8 going there. CC on 65 all the way and back. I did the performance, high octane, towing tune, running 93 octane.

I need to run the numbers to see which is cheaper. I definitely will NOTbe running FlexFuel. That is a joke. A few cents cheaper for 30% worse gas milage bc it's only 15% gas. GTFOH.
