Yeehaw! The original salesman actually called me today! Yesterday the gal that gave me the vin to a Savana van was not the person I spoke with Monday and to be honest she seemed a little flustered. Their company is doing 1 day on 1 day schedule off due to the virus so my salesman was off yesterday.

Anyhow he got back to me and gave the the Vin for the axle he quoted me and its on the way! $462 delivered.

Heres the vin its a 2010 Yukon with a 6.2.

Didn't expect this to come so soon. Or with sway bar and links attached!

Might be able to use the sway bar and have it clear a bigger diff cover.

I like to get home and stay working on stuff late into the night. If I run out of projects I end up spending more money on stupider things because I get bored.

I'm still tossing around the idea of getting the entire housing powder coated. If I do then I will spend many hours cleaning up the casting marks and getting it as smooth as possible so it looks even better powdered. My powder coat guy is a good friend so I get pretty good deals and I've always wanted to powder something big like this. I'm thinking glossy black with bass boat sparkle for some extra glam glam. Plus I think it will look pretty normal until you really look at it or shine a light.

LOL!!!! Since when are differentials supposed to look pretty? Maybe a billet aluminum housing with 4 link hook up Bilsteins attached. That I could wrap my head around. But I get it. You are bored after all. LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!

Let me clarify! I don't want it to be bro-dozer-ish. You can hardly see the axle under the truck and I'm choosing a black because it will be stealthy. I am bored and I like to do things a little different. Normally I would brush the axle clean, coat it with Chassis Saver and call it good. But I've never rebuilt an entire axle before and if I'm gonna do it might as well go all out! Plus I will love seeing shops workers faces when they realize its got a sparkly axle :Big Laugh:
