7.5 inch Rough Country 2007 Tahoe (PICS)

Just finished installing the RC 7.5 inch kit on my girl friends 07 tahoe. With 35x12.50 Nitto trail grapplers and 20x9 +20 Fuel offroad mavericks. Everything went on great. ride quality is good. I stuck within RCs recommended offset for the wheels but still had to trim some. rub free now, and we're really happy with the overall outcome. the tires feel a little squirmy right now but ive heard they need to break in... before this kit we had the 3.5 inch on it....heres some pics..

try running a little more air pressure in the tires.

still can't believe how ****** those cv angles are on that kit. should probably look into some aftermarket upper control arms to help with the upper balljoint angle as well

would have looked so much better on 20x12's and 33's. but meh

Yea the 7.5 inch kit is just there 5 inch kit with a bigger spacer. It actually rides really good. A lot better than the 3.5 inch we had on. But we aren't really expecting a lifted Tahoe to ride like a cadillac. 33s would look good on the 5 inch kit. Would be way too small on the 7.5. I put her old
33s on and it was funny. A wider wheel would.look better but we didn't want to trim 2 feet off the bumper and cur into the fender wells.

What tire pressure would yall reccommend? They are 35x12.50 R20 E load. Right now they are all at 38 psi.

What you need to do. Is get the tire as flat of a contact patch as possible. And get chalk or a paint pen. Make a 1" wide line the width of all the tires. Drive around the block. If the outsides wear off then add air. If insides wear off reduce air. You want an even width wear. And a that pressure is you "hot summer" pressure. Do the same in winter. And this will yield the max even wear pattern. I check tire pressure every other week. Also rotate and balance every oil change. This is key on large rubber to Max the life.

Haha thanks for the help! I'll have to do that when I get some free time. I bumped them up to 40psi and it seemed to drive a tad better. What psi do you run in yours?

Mine are E 10 ply rated 90psi I run 30-35 in summer and like 40 winter. If I do 90 it feels like wagon wheels. Lol. When I tow I set the rear to 45 area. And shocks to 9/9 hard and bags around 5-8psi and that keeps them with a flat contact catch. Daily riding I run 1/9 soft soft and 2psi in bags

Is that why it turns out flat with using a clear? It is not the same as his were done and may god have mercy on your soul for posting such nonsense.

I did my Silverado with night shade before and it came out awful...I took it off a few weeks later and re did them and I wet sanded and cleared them but still didn't come out as good as hers did...so I just took it completely off ...if you look close, she also got her front corners smoked. Just the side of the headlight where the reflector is

I think 35's fit perfectly. 33's are too small for that much lift :IMO:
