Hey Guys I know this is backwards from the norm. The 6.0 in my 04 2500 Sub has engine noise and low oil pressure. 210k miles. I have a good 4.8 out of an 03 Yukon I was thinking of swapping to keep Sub on the road until I can afford to rebuild the 6.0. I know lit of work for swapping back and forth. Do what I may have to.
The 6.0 has a 4L80e behind it and the 4.8 had a 4L60e. I dont plan on swapping transmissions.
Obviously i need to swap the flexplates and the mass air flow sensor.

Question is: do i need to have the 6.0 ecm reflashed for the 4.8 or do i need to swap over the 4.8 ecm and have it reflashed for the 4L80e? Any other things i may may need to look at? Thanks for your help!

I don't have an answer for you, but maybe contact a tuner such as Blackbear, a sponsor here. At least they may have some info on the computers that would be helpful, as well as tips on the tuning of rebuilt 6.0. Good luck.
