Well it finally happened my 2018 Tahoe had the lifter collapse. I have owned three Tahoes a 2003 Z71, 2010 LT and my 2018 Tahoe. Always dealer serviced started running rough engine light flashing and TC light on. Dealer said it was an injector failure but then told me it had a lifter collapse. 85,000 mi and out of warranty ugh!

Sorry to hear that, and it's pathetic how many of these fail. I'd work with your dealership and see if GM can do some goodwill for that. Usually, a good dealership, will go to bat for you and see what they can help with.

Dang, it's never good to hear about that! What is their recommended fix? Also did they provide a quote for the fix?

Also this should be moved to the 2015-2020 Engine & drivetrain forum - hopefully the mods will get that sorted.
