4l60E from a 2wd to 4wd

So I have a chance to purchase a 100% complete 5.3 and 4l60e out of a 2005 suburban for 1650,the pair have just under 96k miles. Plan is to build the engine and trans and just swap them out. Any issues with running the 2wd in my 04Z71? I would assume the only real thing that needs to change would be the tail shaft. Since ill be building the trans that's not really an issue.

Would have to get longer drive shaft and pull tcase. Probably gonna have sensors getting pissy not too sure about the nbs

Pull the Tcase? Im going to keep the 4wd.

Trans has to come apart and have a 4wd output shaft put in. the 2wd tail housing comes off and the TC bolts up.

This assumes that your going from a 2wd trans to a 4wd trans

At first the question thru me off too Gzes, yes Robert is right the output shaft is shorter on the 4wd, the cases are the same between 04-05 and since your reusing the TC and drive shaft setup in the truck already your VSS is on your TC not on the tail shaft like the 2wd Trans.

Yeah I plan on retaining the 4wd, the guy won't separate the engine/trans so I figured if it will fit, I can build both up and just swap them.
