I really dont think you need a diode if your using the 4 pin relay type for the mod. But to be on the safe side. Do it anyways. Just make sure that the diodes side with the grey band on it is facing the direction of flow of electricity. All it does is prevent backfeeding. Meaning if you didnt have one on there, you would turn your truck on only to find that your high beams were getting constant power, and you couldnt switch back to lows.

Dammit,finally yesterday i got it going thanx tricky and evryone else...Sure gona make these piaa lightbulbs useful with this mod...
