Hello, I am new to the forum and i have some questions for you all. This is my Third 2 door Tahoe and i have done a number of modifications to them, ranging from Lift Kits to Cowl Induction Hoods and complete color changes. In All three Tahoe's I have had dual 10's in the back in one box. However, this takes up allot of cargo space. Has anyone purchased, modified one to fit, scabricated, ect... a box that would hold 2 10's and go under the back seat? If so Does the seat still fold down at least half way?
Thank You
Kyle

I am about to attempt to install some 10" in the area below the ash tray in the rear bench area (see photo attached where I circled).

I'm still debating whether I am going to put the molding back (as opposed to Line-x or rhino-lining back there), but ultimate position will depend on where the molding will fit.

I'll post more when I am done.

99 2dr - That link leads to an enclosure for a Silverado / Sierra.

I'm sure you could do some kind of enclosure under the rear bench, but there is no way that the back seat will be able to fold down if an enclosure with any size subwoofer is in that enclosure.

I'm curious about this to.
I have a 10" in an enclosure, would like to use it without cluttering up the back with stereo components.
Any options?

find a 99 escalade console and use the bose sub thats in it and you
are not using the bose amp the sub is 1.4 ohms so get a 1 ohm
stable class d amp i use the mtx th350.1d it sends 350 rms to the
sub i wouldn't go over 350 rms sinse we don't know any power

ratings on the bose system i had 2 12's and 2 added anps for them
i took all that out with just the bose sub console playing with very
impressive bass now this sub is designed for interior sound fill not
for being heard blocks away.if you get lucky they have them in the
jnk yrds.

I like the hidden subs people use, like in the rear cargo area, it can look clean and out of the way but I just dont want to cut the body anywhere, even if it stays as strong as it was before. I would be interesting to see if anyone has found a clean location for a sub without any extreme modification.

2 door sub options

do the 2 doors and 4 doors have the same back seat in them?

Because I have a 4 door and there is plenty of room for 2 10"s or 2 12"s under the back seat.

Just get a sub that doesnt need a lot of air space..
