Just wanted to say thanks to this forum and the search feature, I decided to mount these wheels and tires on my 97 Burb. Wanted to crank, then wanted keys, then decided to just mount the tires/wheels and see what they looked like and go from there. Been lurking in here for a week, and man is there a wealth of knowledge. Either way, thanks guys. Ended up going with Z71 wheels and 285/70R17's and it looks exactly how I wanted it to look.
Good evening and thanks again TYF.

Do you have a picture of them installed?

I have a set of 17” from a 2004 or 2005, trying to decide if I want to use them on my Tahoe. Not my truck, but they look like this...

That’s the same wheels I have. And I’m trying to figure out how to post a pic.

Hey thanks, the proportions look good, I think I’ll go with that.

You don’t see that many Suburbans these days, that one looks like it was taken care of.

I’m currently adding factory fender flares and painting rockers. Looking for a brush guard, but people want wayyyy too much for one used.

I like the lower gray, mine has that but in a matte finish. Have you thought about bringing the two-tone up a couple inches to the upper seam?

Second engine, 3rd trans.

And yes I’m going up to the line when I do the undercoating. The coating I’m using is like rhino linings, but a lot smoother. The paint is to cover the few dent fixes, peeled clear coat, rock chips etc. I’ve got two projects that are getting the undercoat done, but I want to do the body work on Barbara the Burb first so she’s just getting temp painted for now hahaha.

And just for giggles, the second motor got put in at 351k....she smoked like a freight train, and rattled like old Huey helicopter, but she made it to 351,*** on the factory engine.

Here's my 2004 with 285/75 17's. I did a little trimming but nothing rubs and the proportions look right to me. The wheels are 17x9 -6 offset
