I would hate to drive behind you on gravel while off-road, just imagine the rocks those tires will throw, good bye windshield.

Love the wide track look. I personally like the idea of a street legal trophy truck hybrid. Back in the day, leaving stock to small lift and putting huge tires with bolt on cut out fender flares were the thing here back in the 80's - 90's. My '85 K20 has 1 ton hd towing package so I only had to add a 2" rear blocks and a 2" lift add a leaf to the front to fit 37" TSL Boggers. I've even seen 44" w/ no lift but he had major front fender cutting and a flatbed to do it. If your so inclined I'd look into getting bolt on flairs and get em painted to help save paint job and insurance claims from cracked windshields or others getting paint damage. Plus the right flairs (at least to me) look super aggressive n smexy. LOL

"If the rocks and gravel don't get me, the haters with their keys or sharp objects will."

Before I started this little endeavor of adding custom wheels, I searched for months for fender flares to be able to accommodate the width of these wheels. Unfortunately, because this body style is so new, there are very few aftermarket parts available. Once in a while I'll still do a random search for fender flares, but nothing has come up. Sure, I can probably have some modified to fit, but I'm not stressing over not having them, so I'm not too worried. Besides, I've passed the police multiple times. If my wheels were obtrusive or illegal, they would have stopped me by now.

I started to have these installed in the early afternoon today, but that turned into an evening job even with two mechanics working on either side. The labor was a littler pricier, but that's only because there was an unforeseen issue that required more labor. Otherwise, the brakes look good from what I've seen so far.

Your gonna stop on a dime with just barely tapping the brake pedal with those! I feel like im gonna go thru the windshield when i get on the brakes more than just a gentle press with my stock brakes.

My driveway has a steep incline for a good 50 feet, so when I drove it home, the noise from the pads grinding against the rotors was extremely loud. Most of my neighbors came outside to see what that noise was.

I figure it's going to take a couple of days for proper wear in for this setup because I don't live far from work, and most of my errands are within a 4 mile radius. And with L.A. traffic so stop and go on freeways, I don't want to be in a situation where I need to take to the freeway and unexpectedly slam on the brakes - so I'll stick to the streets for now until there's less friction between the new pads and rotors.

Driving it today wasn't bad at all. I drove for most of the day today, and the hard friction grinding has gone. The new brakes feel similar to the stock brakes under normal driving conditions, but then again I haven't had to suddenly brake. I don't intentionally plan on doing any hard braking just to test out the bite power of these brakes, so I'll let that circumstance happen naturally.

The brake dust is non-existent, so I'm happy about that. And with the wide open spaces between the spokes of my wheels, it makes cleaning the calipers that much easier. I didn't have the chance to paint the rear calipers while the wheels were off, but I'll eventually get to it.

Day two with the brakes on, and I drove the freeway some 80 miles round trip. Honestly, there's no huge difference in the amount of force to stop the vehicle. You'd think with 8-piston brakes like these they'd be very sensitive to the touch, but they're not. In fact, they have a very stock feel to the amount of pressure needed to stop.... Go figure. And that's with the steel braded lines.

I don't think an elaborate review on these is necessary, other than the information I've provided and what you can find online, but if anyone has any further questions, I'd be more than happy to try and provide you with some answers.

Love the color match!
They're very subtle. They don't scream "LOOK AT ME" at all, and you really can't see the color matching on the calipers until they're in direct sunlight.... and I'm perfectly fine with that. It's one of those attention to details that I always strive to accomplish when customizing my rides.
