Guys I put some 24 inch rims on my 07 Yukon, Running 295/35/24 Size Tires with no rub what-soever. But when Im driving it causes the steering wheel to shake and rattle. Has anyone experienced this problem...Please help, Im new here...I want a smooth ride, as it catches every bump...Give me some pointers please on how to correct this problem...The tires are brand new also.

it has 36k miles on it, would the rotor be a problem now, and I had them balance and aligned already.

It could be improperly balanced wheels (not car balancing) and/or the need of a hubcentirc rings to help in mount balance!

Hubcentric rings...enlighten me

The correct hub centric rings are important for improper wear on the hubs, but would should not cause the wheel to shake. I have had multiple sets of big rims on different cars, and the first thing I would do if I were you is get the rims re balanced and I also highly recommend an alignment after you get new wheels to compensate for the changed stance and dynamics of the truck.
So get them balanced first, it is easy to throw a weight if they were not put on properly. You should also get the proper hub centric rings while you have it in for the balance(the tires guys will now what you are talking about). And in my opinion you should also get an alignment.

24's are very hard to balance. All the weight is on the diameter of the wheel/tire so very small changes result in larger shakes. Ask them to balalnce the set again and be very precise.

Hub centric rings to take pressure off the lugs, steering stabilizer, rebalance...that's my solution to the misery I lived through!

You need to find a shop with a top of the line balancer ( hunter GSP 9700) That is capable of Road Force Analysis. No wheel and no tire are perfectly round so even if they are balanced they may hop. That machine has the ability to measure that and show you where to match mount them for the most round assembly. Also wheels that big are tricky to balance and you can not use a cheap machine. I would highly suspect they are not balance properly.

You don't need a steering stabilizer unless you have alternated suspension.
After you get hubcentric rings and properly balance your wheel the car will ride perfect!!

Get some hibcemtrics rings and you'll be fine, may even be able to do it before your trip!
