It's funny, now I am seeing people (not here) claiming they are on their 5th or 6th engine, that GM is having them sign NDA's to get a new engine, and even one who said they put a 5.7L (yes 5.7L) in their truck by mistake. Of course when you ask for proof.....
Unfortunately I made a comment on a 6.2L FB page and it keeps showing up in my feed. The comments are amusing though.Sounds like you spend a lot of time on the Internet or Facebook?
BTW was really impressed with the truck mpg. 7 people, loaded up Thule on the roof rack, and averaged 17mpg at a 85mph cruising speed. This is also with the AFM disabled.
Was that Premium fuel and/or E85... oxygenated, etc.? Just trying to get a handle on the general mileage. Thanks.
Computer or manual calculations?Just took a family trip from NJ shore to Chicago and back. I’m at 10500 miles. Last oil change was 6100 miles only a few months back. Thinking I’ll change the oil and send for analysis at 12k miles.
Checked the oil today and it’s still at the top; hasn’t burned a drop. Also catch can did catch about 1/4 of the reservoir.
Will update after I send the analysis in and get the results. I still feel my 6.2 is solid, but we’ll see!
I’m sure if there is any bearing wear it will show up in the oil analysis for sure at this point.
