2024 Yukon Denali Liftgate - Banging

My Denali's liftgate when I first got it was smooth and while you could hear it catching was fairly quiet. Now it makes a loud bang when the liftgate connects to the latch and it sounds like something is wrong..

WOnder if anyone else has this same issue. I am taking it to the shop for the first oil change and checkup in a month or so, but was curious

Definitely have it checked out and fixed under warranty. There should not be a loud bang.

Mine is the opposite: it makes a loud popping noise from the right hand side when opening.
