hello all
Lonnngggg time lurker first time poster. I have only owned 3 cars in my life, all are Chevy tahoes. First a 02 z71 then an 11 lt, now a 24 rst. I took the first 2 over 200k largely through finding out how to repair common issues on this site
no one turned a wrench on the first 2 besides me!!
For the first time I’m having an issue I don’t see others having. My 24 after sitting for 18 hours or so will only partially load the digital dash when it is started. It looks like the black layer with most of the text is there but the blue doesn’t load on top of it. When this happens, it will stay like this for the duration of the drive until the engine is restarted. Also, oddly the left rear steering wheel buttons that go to next channel don’t work until the next start.
Based on the time observation I assume we are dealing with a battery drain/low voltage situation.?
Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this? I haven’t tried dealer/warranty route yet due to ****** past experiences and the fact that I own this car to drive 4 children around so it will be tough to be without it for even a day and the issue takes a day of sitting to reliably reproduce.
Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any insight you can offer.
