Got a 2026 about a month ago. The driver options for the alarm and auto braking will not stay turned off. Every time the car is turned off they all reset to have both the alarm and auto braking for everything. The dealer spent a day uploading and updating the software and nothing. They say they can’t figure out why it keeps turning all that stuff black on.

Anybody got any ideas or dealt with this.

Thanks for any comments…

Does the vehicle owner’s manual (available online) state that the auto braking system can be turned off and remain off?

What alarm are you referring to?

No ideas on how to fix but I’d return to the dealer and insist the vehicle be repaired.

Keep meticulous records as you may have to invoke your state’s vehicle lemon law.

I have a 2026. I keep those features on but I’ll disable them next drive and see if it stays off.

It may be a software setting where if you disable it it’s only disabled for that drive cycle. Kind of like the auto start/stop. I am guessing that’s the case and it’s working as intended.

The dealer says that it should stay off once I go in and set it to no alarm or activation. They are saying that the other Tahoes it stays off and only reset to on if they go in and change the settings.

It seems weird that they have the options active and then they don’t stay as manually set.

I thought I had it all turned off and it reset without my knowledge and almost wrecked me out on a sharp turn when it thought an oncoming vehicle was going to head on. Seems dangerous to me.
