2018+ 10 Speed Transmissions... Fluid change interval recommendations?

Hi all,

I just wanted to ask everyone with the 10 speeds in their trucks what they have been told by their dealers as far as fluid flush intervals for their transmissions? My local dealer says their techs say to not touch the fluid. I have 72k on my 2018.

The 10 speed has treated me much better than the 8 speed did on my 2015. Significantly smoother shifting. I know the 8 speeds needed to be flushed every 45k.

Owners manual doesn’t give any service interval except under the “severe” section. That says every 45k. I just had mine serviced at the dealer. 2019, 38k miles. They did fluid exchange then dropped pan, changed filer, then topped it off with more new fluid. $631

I suppose the filter part isn’t common as they said they had everything, including filter. Then my wife got there, no filter. Had to reschedule. I’m not a fan of flushing them. Being as my mileage wasn’t too high, I’m sure is fine. Biggest concern was getting the filter changed to get all the break in material out.

go ahead and service your transfer case and front differential if you haven’t. Both are easy (if you’re 4wd)

Follow the severe service schedule and change it every 40-45K along with the filter and transfer case fluid. I also do the differentials at this time as well.
