2017 Tahoe LT Rear Shocks and pump need replacement

Hello. My rear shocks have been leaking now, and the air pump runs intermittently while driving. I'd like to replace the stock shocks with newer quality ones, as I do camp and drive in mountains. Any suggestions? Also, is it really $2900 - $4600 to replace rear shocks and air pump? Seems a bit high.
I live in Southern California where everything costs more...

You can change the rear shocks and compressor yourself, if you do any wrenching and have a floor jack and a pair of jack stands. Go to RockAuto.com or GMPartsDirect.com and enter your VIN. I estimate that the compressor (GM or Dorman) will cost about $300, and the rear shocks (GM OEM) will cost about $350 each at these vendors.

Wow. Is that what the dealer really charges for that? I did this on a 2015, did the air compressor and both air shocks w/ magride. I couldn’t have spent more than $1000 in parts?

i changed out to Arnott shocks & compressor

shocks were $310 each & compressor was $280



maybe Gavin adds a hair gel tax.... LOL

Just ordered new GM Genuine from Rock auto (is currently cheaper then arnott) and its about 1200 for 2 z95 magnaride active shocks and an air compressor. They should be here next week, so next weekend should be installing
