Swapped out my vanity and other overhead lights to LED's. Took about 30 minutes. That includes photos and cleaning the covers. Got them off Amazon.
LEDpartsNow Interior LED Lights Replacement for 2007-2014 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Accessories Package Kit (15 Bulbs), WHITE
Attached pics showing vanity bulbs comparison. Then before and after pics. These are VERY bright. I use the top right one independent every morning to grab ID out of bag while pulling up to a gate and its almost too bright.

How did you get the lenses off of the vanity lights, in order to replace the bulbs with LEDs? I could not find a way to remove the lenses, without a fear of breaking them.

Plastic pry tool. You can remove the lens from the cover or the entire cover from the visor.

Cool. Thank you. I've got the replacement LEDs, but I could not figure out how to get the covers off. Those bulbs are the only remaining incandescent bulbs on my truck.

Just to be clear, when you say 'cover' you mean the two oval shaped milky white translucent plastic light covers on each visor, correct?

Correct. I did my 2010 as well. Those vanity light covers are snug little bitches though. Go slow. I couldn't use my pry tool but rather a little flat head.

Thank you for your confirmation. I'll give it a try this weekend, if it gets above 10F outside. The interior of the truck lights up so much better, when all of the dome lights are converted to LEDs.

And, the license plate just pops out, with the LEDs illuminating it (maybe, not a good thing..... :) ).

I installed these same LEDs in my 2007 Suburban and my wife really likes how bright and white the light is now.
The last step was these vanity lights...I thought they'd be a challenge but watching a youtube video, I decided to try it last night. I was able to get 3 of the 4 light covers off using my fingers only. The last one I needed to get a pry tool to help out. Done in less than 15 minutes.

I gave this kit a try, seems decent enough. Two of the festoons didn't have end caps that were secure but oh well. I have two additional bulbs that I don't have a home for. They are push in base with 1 led pointed in each direction of the square. Where are these supposed to go?

Sounds like the 194 bulbs for your license plate.

After installing the plate lights, I also had 2 left over but figured it was for the bottom of exterior mirrors which mine do not have the option so...spare bulbs.

I was able to pry the light covers off of the vanity lights, using two very small screwdrivers. The replacement LEDs are on order, and I will complete the installation, upon receipt of the LEDs.

Thanks again for the guidance on how to get the vanity light covers off.

Completed my conversion of the vanity lights to LEDs. I'm now 100% LED on this truck.

Thanks again for the guidance.

Wow!! That is different. A much 'warmer' feel inside for the occupants.
