I have had my headlights polished but it looks like replacements are in my future. I have read reports where many replacements leak and turn to crap quickly.

Have any of you had any luck with a particular brand? Are there replacement housings with LED headlights included?

I just put some from American Trucks on my wife's Tahoe. I bought from them years ago for new headlamp housings for my F-150 and they held up great. They were Depo brand, if I remember correctly. The ones I bought for my wife aren't the same brand so, not sure if they'll hold up as well. They seemed to be built well though.

Either replace with an aftermarket projector beam assembly and add an aftermarket LED bulb with integrated cooling fan to take the place of a resistor or go big …

I have nice aftermarket set on my 08 Denali I’ll be selling if you might be interested. I’m using the chassis for a project and don’t need them.

Here's the thread around here somewhere for the morimoto's. but I can't find the link right now.

probably the best over all aftermarket for the yukon but not cheap.

their thing is to copy the look up the Gen newer. they do it for a lot of cars from yukons to corvettes. make your c6 have c7 headlights.

I didn't the headlights and picked up the tails that look like the next Gen up too. kinda freshened the look at a bit, but I also like the look up the next Gen probably the best out all of them. so I'm biased lol. but I don't have they money, or want that drive train.

I just ordered replacement housings for my truck. I went with stock, as I have already retrofitted the old incandescent bulbs with quality LEDs, and I'll just transfer them to the new housing. The new housings were about $365 each.

I have had these for a few months and they work ok. Longevity, I can't say yet.

Those are what I put on our 08 YXL Denali. With halogen lamps they’re still subpar.

Install LED lamps with the integrated cooling fan in the low beams projectors (only) as a resistor and the you’ll have a safe, Non blinding to oncoming traffic, razor sharp cut off horizon line. You’ll love them.

they remind me of the c8 lights.
if you could open these are retro fit some good quality bi-led projectors in them. that would he a nice light setup. add some bi-led fogs and call it good.

maybe uv coat the lens while it's new and off too.

I would not call them subpar personally. I put Silverstar H7 bulbs in them before I installed them, and to me, they are as good as any stock style light I have had.
Dedicated LED headlights will blow them away without a doubt. I will not pay $900 for Morimoto headlights.
I did try some LED bulbs for the H7 low beams, but had to return them as they would not fit into the housing. I have not gotten around to ordering a different set yet.
Spose this weekend ill try to order a different set.

What bulb, make and number, did you use, Joseph?

For the headlights, I used GTR Ultra II headlights, which can be purchased through HeadlightRevolution.com. They are pricy, but they are guaranteed for life. They are adjustable and their properly adjusted beam spread is outstanding. All of my other LEDs are JDM Astar brand, but I believe that they were a victim of COVID, as their direct website disappeared at that time. You can still buy that branded LED on Amazon, but I would no longer trust their quality and consistency. Going forward, I will deal with HeadlightRevolution.com for all of my LEDs, and my preference will be to purchase the GTR brand.

Just got these for my dad for Christmas for his Yukon and did these bulbs for the low beams and they turned out great. The performance is very close to LEDs in proper LED projectors and for sure worth the money. My only real complaint is a big one. The C shaped LED bar light doesn't turn on unless the headlights are on and it still uses the low beam for the DRL. Otherwise these are well worth the money.

I am pretty sure I will end up with them for my truck too. I was gonna do the Morimoto lights but they are twice the price and not user serviceable. Plus Morimoto is wrapped up with that whole hooligan bankruptcy thing so I am not sure I would trust that they will be there in the future.

Replaced mine with GMC OE lamps that came with all new bulbs. We get flashed all the time by people thinking the brights are on. Yes, they are aimed correctly. Kids are amazed that they are as bright as they are for being incandescent and not LEDs. Plenty bright for me at night with my old diabetic eyes. My favorite part is in the photo below:

for the light bar to come on there's a separate fuse tap. on the morimoto's, you might be able to wire yours in to be on when the key is on too with some mods.
