2009 Tahoe Hybrid auto stop

Hi guys.....I own a 2009 Tahoe Hybrid with 6.0, 165K miles. We'll maintained, drives great.
Got a check engine light. Code says dirty catalytic converter. Ran Cat Clean through system with 4 gallons of fuel. Light and code still active. Now auto stop is not functioning. Engine runs all the time. Drove to Florida last week. 1600 mile round trip, no change. Any ideas?

what was the code? usually a cat fault code is something like catalystic inefficiency. not dirty cat.

I've never heard of cat cleaner? link?

P0430 code indicates that the bank 2 Catalyst system efficiency was below threshold for a predetermined period of time. The code is stored and pending.
I don't think this would disengage the Auto Stop feature causing engine to continue running (what do I know). I have reset all systems back to factory specs, filled the gas tank, warmed it up, no change. Check engine light still on.

so. there's different level of scanners. basic ones only give you the fault codes for the ecm. not the other 20 to 30 modules in the truck. you need a higher level scanner to find those and to look at the hybrid live data.(I believe there's a spot that. tells you what is inhibing auto stop) something like a tech 2 even the cheap China ones will display the hybrid data. and give you an idea why it isn't going into auto stop.

for the cat code, this isn't a hybrid based code, the info from the standard trucks would be the same as to how to fix it.
it could he a few things. the older then 2011 engines had a valve cover that let a lot of oil get sucked in thru the pvc system. most upgrade to the newer better valve cover. and also add a catch can to stop sucking oil in. if your cat is fouled that's probably why. but doing a search for that code here you'll see a lot of things. from aftermarket air box/intake mess with the a/f and throw codes to vacuum leaks in the intake or exhaust leaks. the o2 sensor themselves. some even have issues after replacing the o2 sensor with non oem ones. for others any old brand works fine.

the code itself will need to be cleared with a scanner. in some cases the light might go out but it doesn't mean it's cleared. you'll need to physically clear it, especially after changing an o2 sensor, as clearing the code triggers a o2 sensor heater recal.
