My Yukon has a funk. I got this. I turned the AC up and set to recirculate. I let it run for 10 minutes after spraying a bit. Well see how it is tomorrow.

I've got a kit coming that allows for a cabin filter too.

Interested to see how that turns out.

Also, what kit is it you have on the way for the cabin air filter?

It's an official acdelco retrofit. You cut a hole like where the nbs filters are, insert a filter and use the new part to cover the hole.

I'll post pics and part numbers when it get it.

EDIT: I asked my wife today if she smelled anything. She said there was a complete lack of smell. Before she said it was musty like an old sock. I got a carbon filter with my kit as well.

Oh and the old battery was damn old. I wonder if it had a bad cell or two and I was smelling sulfur.

Drivers door inside handle had peeling chrome so I replaced it.

Passenger rear door handle chrome was loose and bubbling.

The speakers aren't rotted like my last nbs Yukon. Yay!

Hitch cover was ripped off instead of properly removed by previous owner. WTF?! I'm trying to build up new tabs with plastic bits, glue, layers and time.

About how much time & effort are required to chance the inside door pulls?
My driver-side and passenger-side handles could use such treatment.

30 min per door. I'm slow. Get a good kit for pulling body panels and push pins. There are some good YouTube vids on pulling the door cards.

Right on.

Generally speaking, there are two sources of funk in a car: the A/C or something in the cabin itself. A/C can become overwhelmed and corrected with certain treatments, but the cabin is usually much easier to address.

Wife bought one of these and I swear by it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004BOH6BM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Put it in an enclosed area less than the size of a small bedroom. All unwanted aromas will be GONE within 48 hours, if not much sooner.

Thank you! I'll try anything. The stuff I talked about is working. Ill still get what you posted and throw it on the dash for 24/7 help.

Cool.
if the source of your funk is in the cabin rather than in the A/C system, you'll be rid of it within about a day's time. Guaranteed.

All my seats had scratches and looked like hell. I used leather dye and a good cleaner and conditioner. I forgot to take lots of pics on the scratch removal. Only this pic.

And yes, I'm posting after a few weeks of work buildup!

Filter kit with part numbers.

You'll cut this out. I used a razor blade. You'll see where to do this. Score the plastic then stab the blade into the plastic to cut. Be careful, there isn't a ton of space.

My Yukon smells better already! Be sure to get the filter I got. It's a charcoal filter.

Look what I got. I tossed it behind the center console. This plus the charcoal filter and spray,.. I asked the wife if she smelled anything. She said nope. Job done!

I added a cargo net. Turns out it doesn't work with auto lift gate SUVs. Great. Passenger side drill out has a spot for the hanger to screw in. Drivers is covered by all the lift gate hardware. I just drilled the plastic, and used a lock nut and red loctite.
