Hello. We recently purchased our 07 suburban. It has been awesome . We put close to 1000 miles. No issues. Just now I went to Starbucks. Just before I pulled in my garage I got stabilitrack and TC service on the dash. No check engine light.
from what I've read it could be million things. I do have access to Tech2 at work. So hopefully I can find cause.
Anything would help

Cherish that Tech-2, it will answer questions quickly and efficiently and save you a bundle. It's frustrating watching guys fire the parts cannon at their trucks and waste so much time and money because they didn't have the right diagnostic tools.

Once you "Build the Truck", you can select the last option, F3: Vehicle Control Systems and let it query every module. You'll see some that do not communicate, it's usually because you don't have those options. Then at the end, it will list all the codes. Before you do that, on the Main Menu, check F2: View Captured Data and see if there is a Capture Info showing you what was going on when the error occurred. It might not be there though.

You rightly understand those indications can mean a lot of possible faults.

@swathdiver is the resident expert on the Tech 2. With his guidance, you will likely be at a fix very quickly.

I concur with my forum mates that the Tech2 will fix you up. On my '07, the problem turned out to be the fuel pump - specifically the pressure regulator built into it. The TC/Stab warning would happen when I was on the highway at random intervals, accompanied by a CEL and codes for fuel pressure too high and running rich. I've also seen folks have trouble with the steering position sensor as well.

A fouled plug going out and misfiring would also cause this. I have that issue on #7 cylinder every few years.

My vacuum leak presented this way. Apparently it had not gotten bad enough to set the mil…. I grabbed my trusty tech2 and pulled the codes and started checking things, $0.99 rubber cap later and good to go…

Thank you for all feedback. What does a bad ignition coil have to do with a TC? Or I also read dirty MAF and or TB.
I think these ate secondary issues non direct to cause

Any time the computer senses that there is something wrong serious enough to prevent the engine from running at top performance, it will disable TC/Stabilitrak, hence the warning indications. That's why you need a Tech2 to diagnose it - it will show you what is preceding the TC/Stab warnings.

When my service stability warning kept flashing across the info screen in my 2006, it was due to a wire shorting out that had been chewed through about a year ago, under the front passenger seat that ran to the yaw rate/accelerometer sensor, which is wired into the airbag harness under the front passenger seat. When it was in getting an oil leak fixed in October of 2020, a mouse got into it somehow while it was up on the rack overnight and chewed through the harness under my front passenger seat. I thought I’d patched up all the wires, but in November the service stability system warning kept flashing. My tech2 led me to the sensor under the front passenger seat not having to correct voltage. When I unbolted the seat there was one extra wire going into the harness that was chewed through and shorting out. Patching up that wire fixed my issue.

I have had the same issues. This has been going on for about 2 years. Scanned and side wheel speed sensors. Replaced all 4. We were good for 6-months. Now get random and starts to shift hard. Took to get scanned when the lights were on and no codes. If will go off on its own and run fine. No check engine light ever comes on. At a total loss. I have replaced the air shocks and pump a few years ago.

Could be many things, including the steering position sensor. You need a scanner that can read codes from the BCM, not just the engine codes. Do you have access to a Tech2 or equivalent?

I had intermittent stabilitrac and TC lights as you describe on my 07 Tahoe for almost 1-1/2 years before it stayed on steady.
Knew someone with HP tuner, so we hooked up and went for a drive. Turned out to be a rear AXLE/wheel sensor was not working. Purchased one and solved the problem.
